Flexible Publishing Payment Plans at LiberoReads
At LiberoReads, we understand that publishing a book is both a creative and financial investment. To make professional publishing services more accessible, we offer flexible payment plan options designed to support authors throughout their publishing journey while maintaining clear project structure and accountability.
This Payment Plan Policy explains how installment payments, project timelines, deliverables, and payment responsibilities are managed for all publishing services provided by LiberoReads.
Available Payment Plans
LiberoReads offers structured payment plans for our publishing packages, allowing authors to spread the investment in their book over the duration of the project.
Available plans include:
- Essential Package: 2 payments, paid at checkout and at the project midpoint
- Professional Package: 3 payments, paid at checkout and at major project milestones
- Premium Package: 4 payments, paid at checkout and at three additional milestones during the project
Specific payment amounts and dates will be confirmed in your project agreement before work begins.
Standalone services may also be eligible for payment plans depending on project scope.
Payment Plan Terms
1. Work Begins After Initial Payment
All publishing, editing, design, marketing, or distribution services officially begin once the first payment or deposit has been received and confirmed by LiberoReads.
2. Scheduled Payments Must Remain Current
Projects continue according to the agreed production timeline as long as all scheduled payments are completed on time under the selected payment plan.
3. Missed Payments Pause Active Work
If a scheduled payment is more than five business days late, the project may be temporarily paused until the outstanding balance is resolved.
Before pausing work, LiberoReads will attempt to contact the author via email regarding the missed payment to allow time for resolution.
This includes services such as:
- Editing
- Cover design
- Formatting
- Publishing setup
- Marketing preparation
- Distribution management
Once the outstanding balance is resolved, work will resume on the next available business day. Project timelines may be adjusted to reflect any pause in active work.
Repeated missed payments may result in project cancellation under the terms of this policy.
4. Failed or Declined Payments
If a scheduled payment fails or is declined (for example, due to an expired card or insufficient funds), LiberoReads will notify the author via email within 1 business day.
The author will have 5 business days from notification to update payment information and complete the missed payment before any pause in work begins.
Authors are responsible for keeping payment information current throughout the duration of their project.
5. Final Deliverables Require Full Payment
Final project files and publishing deliverables will only be released to the author after the remaining balance has been fully paid.
Until full payment is received, all completed work remains the property of LiberoReads.
This includes:
- Final book files (manuscript, formatted interior, cover files)
- ISBN registration (if applicable)
- Distribution uploads to platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, etc.)
- Marketing assets and graphics
- Any other final deliverables outlined in the project agreement
Once full payment is received and confirmed, all final deliverables will be released to the author within 5 business days, and book distribution will be activated through agreed-upon channels.
6. Non-Refundable Payments
Payments made toward active publishing services are considered non-refundable once project work has started.
This includes payments for:
- Change of mind
- Change of project direction
- Unused services
If a project is canceled mid-process or payments stop completely:
- Previous payments remain non-refundable
- Work completed up to that point remains the property of LiberoReads until the balance is cleared
- No future deliverables will be released without full payment
- Any third-party fees already paid (ISBN registration, distribution platform fees, etc.) are also non-refundable
7. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
In rare circumstances beyond reasonable control (such as illness, technical failures, or third-party platform issues), project timelines may be adjusted.
LiberoReads will communicate any such delays promptly and work with the author to establish an updated timeline.
These circumstances do not change the financial obligations outlined in this policy.
